We believe that seeing things and places first hand helps children to learn more effectively, so we consider the educational visits, which are always related to topics that the children are studying, are very important. You will be asked to make a voluntary contribution towards the cost of such outings where necessary. We would not be able to take the children out without your contribution.

It is not the intention of the governing body to make a charge for any activity during school hours.

It will be the policy of the governing body to ask for voluntary contribution towards the cost of educational visits.

It will be the policy of the governing body to ask for voluntary contributions towards the charges made by visiting lectures such as the National History Lecture Service.

Where a parent offers part only of specified contribution, this offer will be accepted.

No child will be excluded from any activity due the parents’ inability or unwillingness to pay.

If an activity becomes non-viable through parents’ unwillingness or inability to pay then the parents will be informed that the activity would have to be cancelled due to lack of parental support.
